Virus Bulletin is seeking submissions from those wishing to present last-minute technical papers at VB2008, which will take place 1–3 October 2008 at the Westin Ottawa, Canada.
As usual, the conference will include a programme of 40-minute presentations running in two concurrent streams: Technical and Corporate, the running order for which has already been finalized and can be seen at http://www.virusbtn.com/conference/vb2008/programme/.
In addition to the traditional 40-minute presentations, a portion of the technical stream has been set aside for last-minute technical presentations. Last-minute presentations will be selected by a committee consisting of members of the VB advisory board. The committee will be looking for presentations dealing with up-to-the-minute specialist topics.
There is no limit on the number of proposals that can be submitted/presented by any individual, and presenting a full paper does not preclude an individual from being selected to give a last-minute presentation. Those selected for the last-minute presentations will be notified 14 days prior to the conference start, and will be required to prepare a 20-minute presentation (including time for questions) to be given on the afternoon of Thursday 2 October.
Those selected for the last-minute presentations will receive a 50% discount on the conference registration fee.
Proposals must be sent to [email protected] no later than Friday 5 September 2008. Submissions received after this date will not be considered. Please include full contact details with each submission.
