How to reclaim your sender reputation

Terry Zink Microsoft

One of the serious spam problems today that legitimate mailers face is reputation hijacking. When a spammer compromises a host in your network and hides behind your outbound servers to start sending spam, it seriously degrades your ability to deliver legitimate mail to other recipients.

This paper covers how Microsoft's Exchange Hosted Services mitigated the problem of outbound spam. It starts from the beginning and moves to the end - it examines what options are available for cutting off the flow of outbound spam, to how we keep customers satisfied when we detect that they have been compromised and are sending out spam.
