ASC, NCSA and StopBadware form 'chain of trust' initiative.
Three major groups focused on issues of cyber security - the Anti-Spyware Coalition (ASC), the US National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and StopBadware.org - have announced a joint initiative to encourage greater trust and cooperation between the various firms, bodies, groups and individuals fighting against the menace of malware, hacking, data theft and online crime.
The 'Chain of Trust' initiative aims to organise and foster greater collaboration and information-sharing between the various groups, with an initial step of mapping out the various bodies involved in the fight to secure the internet, and how they interoperate, to see which areas are less well covered and where the weak links in the information chain may lie.
A press release from the triple alliance is here, with a report in The Register here.
