ICSA announces cooperative forum of anti-spam developers.
CyberTrust-owned ICSA Labs has announced the formation of the Anti-Spam Product Developers' Consortium, a grouping of product vendors aimed at providing greater cooperation and knowledge-sharing within the industry.
The coalition plans to meet regularly to discuss issues and devlopments in world of the spam and spam-fighting, to provide a central voice for user education and to develop criteria for measuring and certifying the effectiveness of anti-spam products.
Founder members of the coalition include Astaro, COMDOM, Fortinet, IBM, Kaspersky, Proofpoint, SECNAP, Sendio, SonicWALL and Symantec, and their inaugural meeting is scheduled to take place in May. A release from ICSA Labs, in PDF format, is here.
